'Sarah Sixsmith’s bittersweet sound is instantly likable and relatable to. Her haunting and often hypnotic vocal style flows through you with waves of overlapping melodies providing a complimentary backing, never being too little or too much. Sarah’s personal style allows her to be under the same umbrella as a variety of artists but still allows her to have an individual sound. Often drifting over you in a dreamlike state, there is a freeness to her songs that only comes from those that sing from deep within themselves. This EP is the first release from Sarah Sixsmith and already shows maturity in her song-writing ability. Despite this you still get the sense that she’s finding herself in her writing and this leaves me feeling that there is huge potential for this already accomplished artist. Her honesty and subtle mix of classical sounds with a folk edge, remind me of some of Nick Drake’s work. You get the sense of vulnerability from her that a lot of musicians are afraid to show. It is this openness that makes her songs so approachable; it provides you with a comforting feeling that you’re not the only lost soul out there.' 9/10 Willston
