‘One of the most familiar names on the busy Norfolk acoustic scene has launched her debut EP - and a fine one it is too. The young singer-songwriter works as a graphic designer in London, but mainly performs in and around Norwich and last year took part in BBC Radio 2`s Sold on Song showcase. EP opener and title song In My Eyes sets the style: strong acoustic guitar work, unobvious melodic flourishes and above all, her soaring, sweet voice. Having a cellist accompany acoustic guitar hasn't done Kathryn Williams any harm, and here too Charlie McClean's contributions to three of the tracks really complement Sarah's vocal and guitar. Sarah saves the best until last, with closing tracks Try, and You and I boasting especially strong choruses. Recorded in Utrecht, Holland, and with classy packaging throughout, if I were her I would be sending off coppies to Messrs Harris, Radcliffe and Harding post-haste’/Trevor Heaton
